Vision

In life, it’s always important to have vision. The power of belief is easy to talk about, but it’s not as easy to envision it. Visualizing what you want in life can lead to great things, even if at times it ends up in disbelief, anger, or sadness. You shouldn’t let one fall stop you from envisioning what’s next and what’s better to come.

At times, life hits you with great disbelief, but I like to think that it can only get better from there. In my blog, I’ve always talked about the power of positive thinking and how it has a great outcome for people’s daily lives. Envisioning your life in a positive manner will also help you find yourself and the strength you need at any moment. You will be capable of anything.

“When one door closes, another one opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
Alexander Graham Bell

“Do one thing everyday that scares you.”
– Eleanor Roosevelt

Personally, I think that one should be willing to try something new everyday. Life is all about taking risks and doing things that might be overwhelming, even scary at times. Those are the things that’ll make us grow and achieve all of our goals/dreams in life. If one isn’t willing or able to take small risks, life would be monotonous.

Buddha

“Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most.”

Buddha

I came across this quote today on Instagram and I couldn’t agree more. Sometimes it’s best to let the past be, even if we’re not necessarily happy with it. One should always live in the present and not dwell on the past. There’s nothing we can do about the past, but we can certainly choose where we are going. The future awaits us and that should be one of our motivations in life. Instead of staying in the past, keep moving forward! There’s no better day than the one you’re living in right now.

Calling all Freaks

Calling all Freaks

How many of you out there have been called a freak before? I know I have. Well, guess what? It’s not a bad thing! A good friend of mine showed me that the real meaning of a freak is, “A person who is envied because they are fabulously unique; an individual who can kick ass and has no need or desire to follow the flock.”

Embrace your inner self and don’t be ashamed of who you really are. If being a “freak” is what truly makes you happy, then be it! I don’t know about you guys, but I love being a freak   🙂

“I don’t judge others. I say if you feel good with what you’re doing, let your freak flag fly.”
– Sarah Jessica Parker

Creative Writing

Creative Writing

Throughout the past few months I’ve learned to appreciate the art of writing. Writing for me hasn’t always been the best remedy to release any type of emotion because I never truly understood it, but I think that’s just it; one doesn’t need to understand it in order to do it. Surprisingly, through writing, I’ve learned things about myself and others. I’ve learned a new way of expression, another way to release tension, and let go of those energies that are hidden deep inside me. I see it as a way of meditation.

For those of you who write, either for fun or as a profession, you might understand where I’m coming from. It’s a great art form that is sometimes overlooked and not as appreciated as others. For those of you who don’t (like myself), yet have some hidden thoughts inside of you that feel the need to burst out with passion, open your mind to it, try it as a new form of self-liberation. Believe me, it helps 😉 That piece of paper may just become your new best friend and a precious piece of yourself.

“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”

– Ernest Hemingway
