You are more beautiful than you think.

Hello,
Today, I invite you all to simply acknowledge your beauty. All of us have our little insecurities at times but it’s important that we don’t let that control us. Sometimes we see ourselves a different way in front of a mirror and not how others truly see us. Open your eyes because in reality, we are more beautiful than we think.

This video actually made me cry. As I watched it, I learned that I’m my own worst critic and that I should cut myself some slack! As we all should. We all have a spark, we’re all unique, and we’re all beautiful in our own way. This reminded me of a quote said by Confucius, “Everything (and everyone) has beauty, but not everyone sees it.”  So, have you acknowledged your beauty today?

Meditation Monday

One of my closest friends made me listen to the calming sounds and voice of this video while we meditated together. It was a great experience; we bonded and shared each other’s silence and positive energies. It’s funny how something so personal and soothing, creates an unexplainable bond between two people.

Meditation truly brings out the beauty of one’s soul. If you haven’t tried it, I strongly suggest you do. It’s something that’s calming and easy to do at any time of the day; whether it’s by yourself, with a friend, or a loved one.

“Meditation is the tongue of the soul and the language of our spirit.”

Pure Relaxation

Take a minute for yourself, listen to the beautiful sounds of mother nature, and release the tension inside your body. Let the mind wander and be free of any constraints. As I said in my morning post: “Whatever makes you feel bad, leave it. Whatever makes you smile, keep it.”

It takes 37 muscles to frown and 22 to smile, so smile! It conserves energy. Intake these sounds, inhale and exhale. Thank yourself for the things that you achieved today and look forward for the things that are soon to come.

Have a wonderful night everyone!

“Turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream.”

Blackmill – Let It Be

This song is one of my personal favorites; it has always had the power to activate my senses and helps me relax in order to imagine and create new pieces of art, whether it’s drawing, writing, or designing.

“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.”
– Plato
